Staff: Cindy Martinusen, Lorie Popp, Cathy Elliott, Kimberly Carlson Kimberly Carlson Kimberly is a Creative Writing Instructor at Shasta College. She received her Master of Arts at Humboldt State University in English with an emphasis in Literature, and an emphasis in The Teaching of Writing. She also teaches Womanıs Literature and Composition as well. In addition, Occasionıs of Sin (Norton) author Sandra Scofield is Kimberlyıs writing mentor. She has studied under Karen Joy Fowler (The Jane Austin Book Club, Putnam) and Jane Hamilton (The Book of Ruth, Anchor Books) at the Maui Writers Retreat. Kimberly is now writing her third manuscript.
